Since opening his first business back in the 1970s, Tom has founded, acquired and been a principal in over 30 small businesses throughout the Chicagoland area. He remains a principal in a dozen of those companies today, each with its own pool of talented employees and unique culture to set it up for success. Dubbed the “Serial Entrepreneur,” Tom is a national speaker and co-author of the award-winning book It’s My Company Too! How Entangled Companies Move Beyond Employee Engagement for Remarkable Results.
He is an inductee of the Chicago Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, a member of the Academy of Management, Chairman of 80Nine Holdings and the Chief Culture Officer of Chicagoland Corporate Caterer and special events company Tasty Catering, winner of Inc. Magazine’s “Top Small Workplace” Award, Catering Magazine’s “Caterer of the Year” and the American Psychological Association’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace.
